Derek Shanks is a Technology Executive with twenty-three years’ experience in the Telecoms, Broadcast Media and Financial Services sector. His Financial Services experience spans retail banking, wealth management, digital investing, insurance and workplace pensions. At Lloyds Banking Group, he is the Technology Director for Scottish Widows digital channels, which includes the Scottish Widows App, website, live webchat and AI chat experiences. Derek is passionate about using technology to help people secure their financial future, doing so with resilient, scalable, secure mobile apps, and with the responsible use of AI.
