David Rees

David is Head of Global Economics at Schroders, based in London. He oversees the team's analysis of the global economy and implications for financial markets. Prior to taking charge of the economics team in January 2005, he was Senior Emerging Markets Economist having joined Schroders in August 2020. Before joining Schroders, David was Emerging Market Strategist at J Safra Sarasin from 2018 to 2020, Senior Emerging Markets Economist at Huawei Technologies from 2017 to 2018 and worked as an Economist covering Emerging Markets at Capital Economics from 2006 to 2017. He has a BSc in Biology from Leeds University, an MSc in Finance from Leeds Beckett University and an MSc in Economic Management and Policy from Strathclyde University.
